The Alpina B7 (E65 / E66) is the highest-powered model of the 7 series. Technically and visually, the Alpina B7 is based on the BMW 7 Series (E65), in particular the 750i. The Alpina B7 is 40 kW stronger than the BMW 760i and accelerates (according to the 7-Forum) in 4.8 seconds from 0-100 km / h. The Alpina B7 is to be particularly sporty by additional spoilers, chromed parts and other optical workings.
Like all Alpina models, the Alpina is finished by hand in Buchloe. After the model update of the BMW E65 series model from 2005, the Alpina B7 also took over the optical changes. Additional spoilers and other optical accessories remained basically the same after the model maintenance.
The Alpina B7 manufactured up to April 2005 differed mainly by additional front and rear spoiler, as well as chromed exhaust tailpipes. The 4.4-liter engine was upgraded to 368 kW (500 hp) using a radial compressor. The predecessor of the Alpina B7, the Alpina B12 6.0, came at a lower capacity with 6.0 liters displacement. The Alpina B7 is also available as a long version based on the BMW E66.
